CFA launches new education program

According to the 2013 CFA Institute Global Market Sentiment Survey, investors agree that to restore integrity in the global capital markets, change must come from within. More than 65% of respondents indicated that a lack of ethical culture within financial firms has been the biggest contributor to the decline in confidence.

To address this issue, the CFA Institute has launched a new program called the Claritas Investment Certificate.

The program is targeted to the many professional disciplines within financial services, including consultancy, compliance, marketing and sales, legal, HR, IT and operations.

The program comprises seven self-study modules covering the industry, ethics, tools, instruments, structure, controls and client needs.

Currently, 68 organizations and more than 3,000 candidates are taking part in a pilot program.

The program will open for global registration in May 2013.
