Hiring the right people for their businesses is one of the top concerns for CEOs this year.
PwC’s 16th Annual Global CEO Survey has found that 63% of CEOs globally say they are more concerned about finding key skills for their workforce than the speed of technological change (45%) or their ability to finance growth (43%).
Canadian CEOs feel the government should focus its efforts on creating and supporting a skilled workforce, with 72% saying this should be the government’s top priority.
More than three-quarters (76%) of Canadian respondents said they will be increasing their investment in developing a skilled workforce, and more than half (52%) expect to increase their head count in 2013.
During the last quarter of 2012, 1,330 people in 68 countries were interviewed for the survey.
