Call it a British Invasion – diversified growth funds have had 10 years of stellar growth in the U.K., with combined defined benefit and defined contribution pension assets standing at
just over £124 billion. They began to make their mark in a post-2008 world as plan sponsors hunted for growth without the uncertainty that comes from equity volatility. And while traditional balanced funds have tended to blend together fixed income and equities, diversified growth funds have been able to move beyond those boundaries, exploring better alternatives to both stocks and, importantly, traditional bonds.
